Why I am a good fit for industrial maintenance is because I enjoy fixing machines and working with my hands, I also believe that industrial mechanics make a sensible median wage, and because being an industrial maintenance worker is a way I can enjoy my job. Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed fixing things this career path is a perfect way for me to continue doing something I like by fixing machines.
Industrial maintenance fits my lifestyle, and how I enjoy working on machines and figuring out how the parts fit together like a puzzle piece. Industrial machinery mechanics and machinery maintenance workers maintain and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery, such as conveying systems, production machinery, and packaging equipment. Millwrights install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery in factories, power plants, and construction sites(Bureau of Labor Statistics). The median annual wage for industrial machinery mechanics, machinery maintenance workers, and millwrights was forty nine thousand one hundred dollars in May 2016. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest ten percent earned less than thirty one thousand four hundred and forty dollars, and the highest ten percent earned more than seventy five thousand two hundred and twenty dollars(Bureau of Labor Statistics). I will enjoy working in Industrial maintenance because the workers make a good amount of money for the work they do, ultimately that is a large factor in my decision on this major. Yearly wage is one factor in my decision on Industrial maintenance. It is hard to find a job making a sensible amount of money in this day in time that is why I have chosen this major so I can provide for my family one
