It was exhausting to be in an English educated high school and was planning to go abroad in the coming year. I had been notified I was enrolled in Seattle Central College during my first-year high school in Taiwan. This school began my foreign country’s journey. Everything surprised me first I came here, the education, the environment, the different values from the different foreign people, which I couldn’t adapt the life in Seattle. As the result, I performed the worst in my college life. In order to ameliorate the school life, I participated the clubs for dwelling myself to speak naturally. Simultaneously, I decided to join the art class, which I felt was the most comfortable and interesting subject for me to learn. The professor taught …show more content…
I had been premeditated for a while, and asking myself whether the industrial design is what I want to do. Industrial design would be a difficult subject for me to work on, I slightly have worked in industrial design. However, I am passionate in design, I am fond of pondering the impossible which people seldom think of and always believe it could be true. I have always drawn and designed, helping people design the logo and the exterior of objects. Yet, that is not enough, I should study more besides just designing. Thus, since I have decided to enter in the industrial design, I started to take different courses besides design classes from the school. I have taken different classes because I believe taking different classes assists me to have a better understanding of industrial design; I have realized we were supposed to know what the world’s is demanding currently: the best approach in which I believed is to learn different field’s problems, so that we can comprehend the requirement of each field, then design the product. I especially chose to learn the environmental science, which is what the humans should concern, but not enough people interested in. The environment has been in a serious situation, and I would like to improve the …show more content…
My parents always have a high quality living since I was young. I had studied in the bilingual schools started from my kindergarten. My parents raised me up as if I lived in the United States, though I was not in the US. I had always been taught grades were not important, however, I should be good in English, which was different from the students from Taiwan; the parents taught them grades should always be in the first place in the entire school life. Furthermore, I should always be justice and polite to others. Having quality education and environment is splendid since most of the people do not have those opportunities. However, the education from my parent occasioned the estrangement between me and the masses; I could hardly see what the generals need, and what they were thinking. On the other hands, most of the people did not understand my thoughts; they had always thought I belonged to a rich family and they were in a different world which I was in. As a consequence, I had an arduous time in either working with people or making friends. However, I learnt thoroughly after coming to Seattle. Seattle is a city that includes cultural diversity than any other places. Many people from different country study and work here. I met different people and different culture, which I have been inducted to understand different values. Living and communicating with different people in the city helps me understand
