There are many great ancient civilizations such as the Mesopotamia, The Nile River Valley, Zhou China, and the Sumerian Civilization. Although all of those are very good civilizations the two that I am going to talk about today is the Indus River Valley and the Shang. Both of these civilizations are very interesting, and will help you gain more knowledge on how life worked during those times. One of the differences is the cities that the Indus River Valley had. The Indus River Valley had well planned cities. They had modern plumbing like drains and baths. While the people in the Shang dynasty lived in farming villages or the great wall cities. Another difference is that the Indus River Valley was more developed. Furthermore they Indus Valley had skilled people. Another difference between the two ancient civilizations is writing. “The Shang dynasty had a system of writing that influenced others in China, while the Indus River Valley had their own system of writing.” Lastly one of the differences was the housing. These civilizations had many positives and negatives. They both helped the world get to where they are now, and gave us interesting facts that we may not have known before. Without the civilizations we may not have some of the things we have now like the farming, systems of writing, the discovery of different trade routes and other things. These civilizations helped our world gain some many things. The Indus River Valley and the Shang provided so much information and unique things, but also many other civilizations did the same that were not talked about in this paper. Without the battles that they had to go through, the conquering of other cities, and other things we may not have discovered new technologies. Both of these civilizations had a lot of agriculture.
