Indo-American Center-Service Learning Reflection
Although I have only volunteered for less than two months at the Indo-American Center, I immediately felt a connection from the moment I stepped into the building. It reminds me of home. The senior citizens who come to the center are active, have much to talk about, and enjoy interacting with their friends and relatives. Ageism has a negative connotation of physical, mental, and social deterioration. However, the senior citizens at the center prove that aging is a beautiful concept, and there are many healthy lifestyle choices one can make to maintain their well-being.
