Individual Retrospection: I feel that the labs in general went well, specifically the time that we had to brainstorm the different ideas that we had to come up with game idea we needed for the lab. The other part of the lab that went well was the the the information that was given was well understood and the lab leader was able to explain everything well and answer any questions that a raised. The biggest things that I think could have gone better or that I would change are the time limits that we had for each section of the lab. My team always felt behind because of the time limit placed on each part even though we worked on each section. I felt that we didn’t have enough time given especially for some of the things that we had to do dealing …show more content…
Before starting this class I had never hear of agile development before, so everything that we did in lab was a learning experience for me. The biggest thing that I learned was the part about creating the story board to help with different ideas that we could choose from once the team had come up with all of the ideas. We chose to do a version of pictionary with only computer science terms to help game players to learn computer science whether they were doing it for fun or majoring in it. With choosing that we moved on to the next step in agile which was to develop a “cereal box” for are product to see what we could do help in developing it and how to sale it to the client, and customer that it is a fun game that you need to buy. With the box, we came up with different packs of cards we could do for the game and incentives for people to buy the game like connecting different keys to get a free keyboard. After that we moved on to the next part of the development process which was the success sliders to determine the different parts to developing something which is cost of development for the game and the scope of what needs to be done long with the quality of the product and how long it will take to get the MVP out. I learned that this was a great way to think about developing software it helped our team to see what needed to be done for the first iteration of the game, and eventually further iterations. As an incoming freshman in August of 2015 taking Rhetoric 105, I not only learned how to take apart papers, summarize, paraphrase, analyze and construct passages, but overall to be a great thinker. There are many ways that a person can tell you that works to become a better thinker, but it starts within you. While writing papers this fall semester, I learned that my writing became better when I a. understood what was being asked of me via the criteria, b. allowed myself to make mistakes in order to understand what I was and wasn 't doing correctly, c. I started to question myself, not in a way of was the work too hard, but in the sense of what the assignment and the thesis I am creating is asking. At this stage, you have to be completely real…

Development was a second lesson learned from the out of class experience. My group members and I either are taking over 15 hours' worth of courses or have jobs outside of class. Planning a meeting time for everyone to be there is not simple. Not to mention none of us live anywhere close together. The weather incidents crashed some of our meeting times and hindered decorating.…

Learning to write When I attended elementary school, part of the curriculum was penmanship. There was a certain segment of instruction dedicated to penmanship rather than writing. We were given large sheets of oat colored paper with three parallel lines widely spaced. The alphabets were used to print and write in cursive using the midpoint, and upper lines for capital letters. The handwriting grades were based on neatness and readability.…

When it comes to understanding yourself and your personality on a deeper level than normally, you must take personal stories into perspective that have shaped your life while growing up. According to McAdams, “defining oneself through a personal story is an act of psychological and social responsibility” (Engler 2009). Psychological and social responsibility relate to how you act onto actions around you and how you tie society into your viewpoint of the world. In other words, explaining yourself through a story can show several things such as how your emotions played an affect, the type of response you displayed to something that happened, and as well as the lessons you learned through a personal but also social aspect. In addition, McAdams…

Viewing the past four essays shows the progress and decline of my writing style, and structure. The four essays that were required by the class varied from the best to the worst, both having their similarities and differences. Choosing two out of the four essays, I came to a conclusion that the “process analysis” essay was the best, and the worst essay was the “descriptive” essay. Although it varied from their definitions and structure, the essay’s showed how much the writer, put their work into it. The certain characteristics that made it the worst to the best defined how well the essay would turn out to be.…

I organised the calendars of the Bureau advisors and scheduled their appointments. I logged any letters we received in the database and alert the advisors who the information was most relevant to. It was also my responsibility to send the post off. I created reports on cases; then updated them whenever the bureau received new information. This experience identifying relevant information and recording it accurately will serve me well as a commercial solicitor overcoming both commercial and legal obstacles on a daily basis.…

Writing has been my talent since grade school; I couldn’t sing, or dance but I could write, or so I thought. Then, I entered high school and realized that writing required a lot more than it did in middle school. The brisk pace and advanced comprehension skills required for my English three AP course caused my grades to suffer. I have struggled with college level essay writing tremendously, but through hard-work I have been able to write with more ease and finesse than ever before.…

Looking back at my presentation I feel that I showed empathy to my peers. When we started our presentation the audience had to answer two questions based on the assigned reading. However, out of a group of three, two of the participants were absent the previous week so they did not do the reading. Since they were apologizing to the only person in the group who now had to do all the work I decided to step up and help. I briefly joined their group to reassure them that it was okay that they did not read the article and I helped fill them in on the article so they could participate.…

I learned that to achieve a common goal, you have to get rid of personal interest and build upon other’s ideas. This project also taught me the importance of communicating effectively with teachers. Mr. Kaneko made us fill out chat logs to show how many times we talked to him. These chat logs were graded, so we were sort of forced to talk to Mr. Kaneko. This wasn’t a bad thing though.…

Project Approach Reflection What is project approach? Project approach is an in-depth project investigation of a topic worth learning about.
