This case concerns the extent of indirect age discrimination. This case was also heard in conjunction with the case of Seldon v Clarkson Wright and Jakes [2012] UKSC 16 which concerned the latitude for the reasoning of direct age discrimination.
Mr Homer immediately gained employment with the Police National Legal Database (PNLD) at the age of 51 after retiring in October 1995 from the police force.
