Research shows that Australia has been greatly affected by land rights. In 1788, the indigenous laws mention that most of the lands are vacant and empty, which allow the European colonization to occupy the lands. In the past decades, aboriginal residents owned the land as they used it in both agriculture and construction. During that period of time, European colonization can easily access to variety and unlimited resources as much as possible. According to Watson (1982) in Creative Spirit, land means a lot and is important to the people. Besides, land could be the most economic revenue for them. With the increasing number of European colonization moved to Australia, the area of lands that belongs to original residents has gradually decreases. Since the indigenous people had already cultivate food, built inhabitant and obtained sufficient resources, the European colonization do not have to worry about the lack of resources. “Land rights include religious, fishing, hunting and camping rights if currently forbidden on all relevant ‘crown’ land” (Watson, 1982).
