Indiana Nursing Goals

Nursing is often referred as the art and science of person centered care, that's why Indiana University is the school that will help me meet my goals of being a Registered Nurse. With a bachelor's degree in nursing that will help me excel in critical thinking and use the skills I learned from Indiana University everyday in my line of work.

I will be majoring in Nursing reason being that nursing is a special skill that you learn the overall concept from books and class, but it's not universal for all people that's the reason it's a person centered care and nursing is individualized to a specific person and taking care of their overall needs being physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs in their way to recovery and health.

In addition to my academic goals at Indiana University, I plan on pursuing activities and clubs related to my interests and to be an active member on campus and to form friendships with others that have

In community college I took a variety of classes and haven't found what interested me until I took a Certified Nursing Assistant class that taught the basics of nursing. It was the experience I had at the nursing home that ultimately I decided to pursue nursing as a degree and career as I enjoyed the residents in the home and everyday was a different challenge and you had to always be quick on your feet.

Career goals and aspirations that I have is once I get my RN license is to work as an operating room nurse as I enjoy the adrenaline of being in a room with other professionals and observing different operations and procedures. I understand that IU has a great and reputable nursing program and that I can contribute positively and work with other students as a team to succeed are goals.
