1. If I were to go to the Academy for the next two years, I feel like I would handle stressful classroom and academic situations very similarly to the way I do now. Currently, if I encounter a stressful academic situation, I tend to not procrastinate on it and try to get it done as fast as possible (while still doing my personal best of course!). However, at the Academy, the atmosphere in which I would handle stressful situations would be quite different. In just my 7th-10th grade years, I’ve had many achievements that have helped to influence my academic success. First of all, as aforementioned, I joined the FWCC which helped me to join show choir at my middle school in both 7th and 8th grade. Show choir immensely helped me make lifelong friends and improve my musical ability. Also, in both 7th and 8th grade, I joined the debate team along with my best friend. As a team, we placed 1st in both years in the local debate competition. Being on the debate team really helped me learn to professionally debate and improve my confidence. I still use the skills from debate in my history and English classes whenever we debate and having a strong sense of confidence has definitely helped me in general throughout high school. At the end of my 8th grade year, there was an awards ceremony for all of the high achieving 8th graders. I won awards in Math, English and Social Studies and I also won a presidential award for my high academic achievements and grades. Winning those awards really helped me to push myself freshman and sophomore years to strive to do my personal best, motivate me to always to my homework, and not
