Personality traits of Indians
• Indians treat Cricket as a culture.
Indians are crazy about cricket and follow it religiously, they refer to cricket as a ‘religion’.
• They are also very Socializing. Indians are hardly spotted alone, they are very talkative and don’t mind making conversation with strangers.
• Indians are full of Empathy. They are caring and always ready to help those in need.
Eg: due to their social nature, Indians make friends easily and they won’t back off if they see a friend in trouble. They also empathize with other cultures and respect it, this comes easy to Indians as they come from a multicultural nation.
• Indians are relatively more Conservative, especially the older generations.

• Chinese are very Loyal and value keeping one’s word.
• Chinese are more Reserved and do not feel free to talk about personal topics to everyone. They might find it offending if someone who just met them ask them personal questions.
• Chinese tend to be very Formal, especially to outsiders. Being formal in Chinese businesses Is a norm. not being formal is taken to be very offensive in their culture and they may also disagree to continue the business when this basic condition isn’t met.
• Chinese can be very Indirect, Chinese do not like being rude and so like conveying a hurtful message indirectly. In businesses, they follow what is known as ‘constructive criticism’. They get the idea across without hurting other’s sentiments.
• Chinese can be very Competitive. Being the world’s largest population, Chinese cannot do without competition, there’s competition for resource allocation, attaining the best education, getting the best job. It is merely “survival of the

™ Know the people: If you have Muslims and Hindus on the table refrain from ordering pork and beef.

™ Placing an order: The host should order the food, if at all the host asks for suggestion then only you pitch in and order, but make sure you are clear on what to order and do not waste time in ordering, the attention should be on the conversation not the food, so the food should be effortless to consume. Keep in mind the dining preferences of the fellow diners, even if there are a few vegetarians refrain from ordering meat.

™㟫 Drinking: Never pour your own drink, always look if the other person needs refilling. If the other person’s glass is less than half then you should ask and refill their glass and if your glass is less than half then the other person is obliged to fill it.

™㟫 Who pays?: Usually the host of the dinner pays the bill but if anyone else wishes to then he/she should announce it at the starting of the dinner so the confusion in the end can be avoided.
