You made a good point. I agree with you that both policies were aimed to help the Indians change their current living conditions by understand what best suits their needs. The Indian Reorganization Act removed the land allotment and allowed them to live in their own ways. The Indians did not know how to deal with the land and lacked efficient tools when they were alloted the land previously. So the abolishment of the land allotment was good for them. I think the two policies represents the attempt of the United States to help the Native Americans sincerely.
