Throughout the years we asked ourselves, “What is the different between the Dealership and an Independent Auto Repair shop?” Dealerships and Independent shops vary in repair prices depending on the make, model and year of the vehicle. Dealerships and Independent shops have different numbers of automotive repair technicians. Dealerships and Independent shops have different type of jobs for the employees. Dealerships and Independent shops have the same specialty, but what separates them apart is their work quality.

Dealership price compare to independent repair price is a big different. Dealerships have the advantage due to train technicians, more technology; have more technicians, better warranty, proper tools and parts. Independent repair shop beat the dealership on pricing. Customers can save money by going to an independent repairs shop compare to the dealership. Independent shop may not have technology, more technicians, or warranty, but they do have better service compare to dealerships. Independent shop, customers can go in the shop and talk to the technicians that are working their vehicle or the technicians can show where the problem in that vehicle. Dealership has more than one person working on the customer’s vehicle every time they bring in their vehicle. To see the problem on the vehicle the dealership just write out what wrong with the vehicle, what is fix on the vehicle on the repair order. After comparing these two repair shop, there not so much different between these two shops. The big different is just pricing between the Dealership and the independent repair
