The song “Independence Day” sang by Martina McBride gave us the meaning behind it; freedom. The fact that a female sang this song in a country style suited it. Country music tends to tells life experiences, and how people deal with them through a song. Behind McBride’s song, she sang it as if she was telling a story of the young girl and her mother who suffered from physical abuse from her husband that later freed herself that one would’ve never imagine. There are tons of men, women and even children that go through the physical abuse on a daily basis. A lot of times, we only hear mostly of the women who stayed quiet and lived in fear. They suffered in silence with no one to help. Although the physical abuse described in the song
