This week was the best week I had all semester. It was a glorious week for me, to say the least. I was able to finish the written assignment, study hard for my quiz, and also be able to get an awesome grade for my quiz. I thoroughly enjoyed this week. First of all, for the reading assignment, I had to read section 8.1 called, "System of Linear Equations: Gausssian Elimination".…
This week was fun for me because I made the soccer team and we had a fun week of practices. We had much less homework this week than the previous week which was very fortunate because my brother and I had their grade’s curriculum nights so I was not getting home until eight thirty. There were three quizzes/tests this week which was a little rough but I think I got through them well. I thought that the Socratic seminar in LA was a little bit of a dud because…
Hello, This week has sucked. I broke down crying at work last night because I can not keep taking time off or else they will fire me. I continuously take Saturday nights off because my boyfriend lives three hours away and I want to visit him and he does not want to sit in my dorm room for 8 hours while I work. Finally I called him and told him he was just going to have to deal with it or meet up with some friends that he has in Queens. That was clearly the hardest part of my week.…
In the middle of my sophomore year, I was asked by a senior if I would like to be the president of a dance club they had started that year. The club members knew that I was apart of a well known dance studio. I was indecisive primarily because the club only had 3 members and so I did not know how I could make it into something starting off alone and young, but something told me to just go for it. And that I did.…
Friday was the big test day. When I entered the classroom, I overheard some of my peers lament about how tired they were from staying up so late trying to study. I was confident that I would do great, and yet a small part of me was still nervous that I would fail. When our instructor handed out the tests only the sound of pencil scratching paper could be heard. When we completed our tests we were allowed to leave, so when I finished mine I was out in a flash.…
I was failing my quizzes. I was failing at everything. It was a pretty terrifying experience because I never had scores that low I had a D in the class, I was drowning. As a result, I started working harder.…
This week has been a crazy one! But the broadness of the Telus Spark project is starting to narrow and things are falling into place. We started working on unit one in math which I did find confusing, but I am slowly starting to get my head wrapped around it. For social, I started learning about individual and collective identities as well. Things are starting to pick up in our classed now and even though somethings are harder than the others it was not a bad week.…
When Barry woke up the next day, his first instinct was to check if what happened wasn’t a dream. After making sure no one else was in the room, he slowly reached for his hips and let his hands slip to his legs. Yes! He was feeling it. There was tickling all over what used to be his dead-limbs, painful tickling, but it was better than nothing.…
Part one From my mid-term evaluation by my supervisor (Wayne Harris) I have learned that I am doing a great job here at Elizabeth City Pasquotank County Economic Development Commission. My job here at the internship is to build an accurate database of residential home sales in Pasquotank County. I also have done street survey on downtown vacancies. My strongest asset is that I am very punctual, reliable, and able to handle complicated data searches.…
A phrase that could be used to describe me is "consistently persistent," and even though I sometimes feel that I make a nuisance of myself when I repeatedly request interviews with actors (I especially feel this way when I 've asked more than five times and I am quickly approaching ten times), I have come to realize that ninety-nine percent of the time, I eventually get what I 've requested. And in the case of Kavan Smith, that is entirely true. I have been a fan of Kavan 's since I saw him in season two of When Calls the Heart, but I actually appreciated his depth of talent, his renowned versatility, and his ability to portray credible, true-to-life characters long before that time (I just wasn 't aware of it). Recently, I was granted a magnificent interview with Kavan, and he was quite forthcoming with details…
"Have a nice trip to hell. " Smirking, the American agent looked through the sight of his pistol, staring straight into the recently captured Russian spy's eyes. Fun as this may be, he still had to line up the shot properly so that there was no chance of the spy's survival. Grasping the trigger now, the American slowly exhaled, so as to remain absolutely still.…
The highlight of the week for me was me turning in my homework because I don't really turn in my homework and I have also been paying attention in class which really helped with my homework. The low light of the week was nothing which is always a good thing because that means the week was pretty cool and chill. The weird-light of the week for me was some drama but it's nothing that really bothers me but I just hope it doesn't carry on.…
I walked into the room unsure of how my English teacher was going to be like. I really wanted one who was really funny, laid back, but still serious. When I walked in, I gave a quick scan of the room and saw no one; I guess I was the first one. But then I looked in the corner of a desk, a dull mousy haired woman was at the teachers desk, but she was cowering towards the corner as if she was afraid of everything around her. I didn’t know what I felt about her.…
My eyes focused on the whiteboard as Coach’s pen formed X’s and O’s on the squeaky white surface. He looked at me, trying to give me that boost of confidence for the end of this game. “Alright guys listen up. Ryan has guarded their best player all game, it’s time we catch him off guard,” he said.…
Reflection #3 I am doing well this week. Last week was busy, but with the use of my time management app and the skills I am developing the week went by smoothly. I had my first exam and learned which study tips worked for me and which ones I need to change.…
