Abstract -
In the following research, relation between trustworthiness, incivility and cynicism within team is tested. Trust forms a foundation for functioning relationships and co-operation. Therefore it is important for teams to find relation between these qualities. Likert scale is used to find individual responses of participants. A Likert scale is a psychometric scale commonly involved in research that employs questionnaires. Then, using tables, relation is drawn between trustworthiness, incivility and cynicism. A 2011 report in USA Today defined Workplace incivility as "a form of organizational deviance, characterized by low-intensity behaviors that violate respectful workplace norms, appearing vague as to intent to harm." Incivility is rude or impolite attitude or behavior. Recently, much of work on incivility is focused on physical, active and direct forms of aggression that carry an intent to harm(Griffin O’Larry & Collins 1998). Other have concentrated on the more prevalent psychological aggression (Baron & Neuman 1996; Glomb 1998). Fewer researches have examined even milder forms in which intentionality is less apparent (Andersson and Pearson 1999). Modern cynicism has been defined as an attitude of distrust toward claimed ethical and social values and a rejection of the need to be socially involved. Cynicism is beliefs that people are generally selfish and dishonest. Cynicism regarding government or politics can logically lead to political withdrawal and effective political helplessness. In 2003 Hillary Clinton stated: "The worst thing that can happen in a democracy—as well as in an individual's life—is to become cynical about the future and lose hope. That is the end.
