The Incas were a very interesting civilization. From A.D. 1438 to A.D. 1535, they were thriving. Inca villages were in the Andes Mountains. The countries in their area are Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Chile. The Incas era ended when Francisco Pizarro conquered them. Since they didn't have a written language, runners sent messages verbally while they ran around. A quipu is a circle with strings attached. It shows the population and other things by numbers. They also had the concept of zero which helped show nothing. The incas were farmers. Their main crops are corn(maize) and potatoes. Terrace farming was the type they used. You build out flat areas with dirt and stones to make more space. That’s the Inca civilization.
