Psychopaths In The Film 'In The Shadow Of Feeling'

In the film, In the Shadow of Feeling, they speak about many different psychopaths and what they did or did not do to be labeled this way. There was a boy mentioned named Jonathan, who was seventeen at the time, who has been labeled a psychopath because he committed first degree murder when he killed his former best friend and classmate Mike. Jonathan claims to have He killed a classmate because he was bullied by him after their friendship fell apart. According to the film there is about 15 to 25% of prison inmates who are labeled a psychopath along with 1% of general population. (Law, 2007). Studies have shown that after20 years of MRis,in the teen years the brain will,in a way, break down and then rebuild itself. So for a child that is often thinking about killing a person in their teen years,it is said that the urge will then be a lot stronger once the brain is done restructuring. A lot of different things factor into the psychological characteristics of why a person can become a psychopath. During a person 's childhood,the child that experiences trauma like being bullied,the kid being bullied will often break and can often end up trying to cause harm to someone. In addition,when a guardian or parent emotionally,mentally,or physically abuses their child,that child can run the risk of hurting themselves,others, running away or even becoming mentally unstable and being considered a psychopath. Of course I do believe we are all capable of criminal behavior which is where I do see how psychological factors come into play in our development, but when it comes to acting upon criminal behavior the capability is there the actions are learned through psychological
