In “Everyday Use”, the mother wants for nothing. She does her job and the youngest daughter (Maggie) is following in her footsteps. The other sister (Dee) who doesn’t want to be like either of them and wants nothing to do with that life style. As Dee grows up and goes away to get married to later to come back with all her finery to try and get two quilts that were made just to show off.
