In her diary, Anne Frank famously wrote, “In spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart.” Why would she say that when all of these terrible things are happening in her family? What was going through her head when she wrote this? Who was she talking about? Anne Frank had a lot going through her mind while she was in hiding. She had no one to talk to, so she held in all of her thoughts to herself. Anne showed huge amounts of courage along with positivity. Throughout her whole time in hiding, she looked on the bright side of everything. When a problem came up she was one of the people who would fix it. Imagine how hard that must have been for her. Ordinarily, being a 13 year old and having so many types of feelings going through your head would be very difficult. Conversely, through all of this madness, Anne Frank stayed positive throughout the whole play. As you read the quote, the positivity in her shows.
Since Anne had such a big influence on the people who read her diary, a play was made from Anne’s diary writings.

She really did believe that anyone could change, consequently making her think that everyone does have a good heart. Many people wonder why she wrote the famous quote in her diary, I think it was because of everyone that was with her. The people that surrounded her were all very good people at heart, despite of everything happening in the Jewish community. The people that stayed with Anne Frank showed these actions by, keeping calm throughout most of the rough times by realizing their self-problems. Accordingly, they fixed these problems for the good of the group. Anne wrote about all of the important people in her life. Which shows that she only knew what type of people they are. According to her, they were, “...really good at heart.” She showed us that people can change by realizing what they did wrong. Anne Frank was a very wise girl who inspired us
