In My City: Denver, CO & Top Flite Empire

After reviewing the documentary at the HipHopDX.com offices, we discovered that we wanted the film to flow a bit differently. Because Kelly Nikole of HipHopDX.com is a very important participant in the In My City storyline, we would like the majority of the narration to be in a 1st person perspective. Here are our suggestions.

After the In My City introduction, we’d like Kelly to explain how & where she met Top Flite Empire:
• What were your initial thoughts upon meeting them?
• Why did you feel they needed HipHopDx.com’s platform for further exposure?
• Was there an invitation from the group?

After confirming the trip, what did you anticipating seeing while there?
• How were you greeted upon arrival to Denver?
…show more content…
Were you underwhelmed? Were your expectations exceeded?

After discovering that there was events setup in the days leading up to the concert, what did you think about each event?
• What was your experience at the Dunafon Castle? What were you watching take place?
• What did you see happening with the group at Club Chlóe?

Tie in TFE’s involvement with the weed culture in Denver. They’ve headlined the 4/20 festival 3 years in a row. Each concert held 80,000 people. Minimize the interview with Marijuana shop owner.

Extend KS 107.5 Radio Personality Nikki Barnes’ interview. Include something specific about how she sees TFE’s movement and what they could do in the future.

Extend KS 107.5’s Big Mic interview. Include something that he feels about TFE’s movement & what they can do in the future.

Concert at Fiddler’s Green:
• How was the concert setup?
• Leading up to the show, what did you observe about the group?
• What did you see while the group was on stage?
• How did the crowd react to the group?
• How was the atmosphere backstage?

Attending this festival made me feel closer to home since I come from a town that the majority of the population are Mexican. While I was waiting for FAMA to perform it was heartbreaking that in the crowd a child got lost and it took a while for the parents to find him. I was surprised at the parents, because they saw how many people were there and some would still let their children be running around. Therefore, it was a pleasure to attend the Chicano Park Festival because it have insight on the significance of the…

"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences.…

What a treat; I really enjoyed the event. I was skeptical about going because I did not read the book or have any background knowledge about the author, but in hindsight that did not matter. I was able to listen to relaxing jazz music, sing along with a great singer, and reminisce about my musical days. The incorporation of the black experience throughout the event was a fresh breath of air.…

Following the lives of Mikey and Kendell, two youths currently situated in Regent Park’s community housing during the beginning of Toronto’s ‘Revitalization’ plan for the area in 2005. During this development of the city, Davis explores the issues that affect these adolescent boys and their mothers. My initial interpretation of the film is how well the documentary addresses the concerns around public housing. The policy in the film such as Pathways to Education is relevant to Social Welfare.…

The second Musician I want to talk about would be Michael Lington during the live Jazz Concert. Michael Lington is the Sax player. He is a Danish- American contemporary Saxophonist , producer, songwriter, recording artist and a purveyor of soul and contemporary Jazz. I personally love the way how the concert went, even though I’m not in the actual performance, but I still felt how excited the audiences was during the concert. During the Concert the music was played very soft and it did not have anything like the big band or African influence kind of characteristics.…

By highlighting and focusing on Benjamin’s social behaviors, his personal affairs, and his way of living “The Graduate” showcases a theme of not just loneliness but instead something far more torturous: isolation.…
