When processing confidential information, most company will provide confidentiality nondisclosure agreement. I am obligated to treat confidential information in accordance with the negotiated terms and conditions of the confidentiality agreement. I would treat confidential information with the same degree of care that I do my own, although in no case with less that reasonable care. Confidentiality of employee payroll data is critical, since this information can result in discord among employees and compromise the employer or employee’s financial situation. Wages and Salary can be challenging to maintain the security of certain payroll information, particularly when an employee chooses to share his own data with other employees. Federal labor law has provisions that state employees may not forbid employees from discussing their pay and benefits. When I was processing payroll I used software provided by Bank of America Intuit online payroll. The payroll software stores all payroll information in the computer system, though, keeping hard copies increases the filling systems reliability and serves as a valuable backup file. I always stored hard copies in a secured locked filing cabinet. I was the only payroll person, therefore I worked in a confidential locations separate from other employees. I always made sure I logged out of the payroll software before leaving my work area. I believe there is value in teamwork, and I am always willing to pitch in and stay later if needed, if someone is behind on an important deadline. I believe good leadership contains a culture of trust, friendliness, and mutual respect within a team. I believe organization’s is a key element that set the tone for the culture that I set for the company. My organization’s identify as a whole and is important as team’s values align with each other.
