The speakers boomed out the beats of Usher’s new song as the bodies collided with one another. People were screaming in glee and sloshing their drinks back and forth on the dance floor. Sweat glistened off young women’s bodies as they grinded on the grinning men enjoying the sensation. 50 Cent’s song ‘In Da Club’ riled up the crowd even more as the Birthday Boy Isaiah Reyes was pushed towards the stage.

The six foot boy with piercing jade eyes smirked and staggered towards the stage. His usual tan skin was perspiring and his brown curls were cut away showing off his new Cesar haircut. He was pulled onto stage by his best friend and right hand man Alexander ‘Lex’ Rodriguez. The two boys shared a laugh as they look down at their party.

Marc Chagall’s painting of the Prophet Isaiah is very dramatic. In the center, the painting depicts the moment when a seraph purifies Isaiah’s lips with live coal. In the Bible, Isaiah focuses on his “unclean lips” from speaking sins in the past and how those sins would make it impossible to speak the word of Yahweh. To make it so that he could receive the gift of utterance, the seraph purified his lips (Armstrong 42). This gave Isaiah the ability to purely convey the words he will be asked to speak and if it had not happened, it is quite possible that Isaiah would never have been able to spread the word as was necessary for the prophet.…

Sandra “Kaitlyn” Stewart 1. Isaiah 53 God is communicating that as Christ was growing up He was the lowest of the lows. Surprisingly, some of the best articles I have read were very casually written. A fitting description for the article “Lil Wayne I Am Not a Human Being II” by zcamp. It is loose in style and flows easily, reflecting that of a conversation between friends. The author writes confidently about the number of phallic metaphors Wayne uses in his songs, noting that he sets the world record, and makes a joke of his own renaming one of the songs as “Penis Colada”. Of course, even in a conversational tone, the author shows a great deal of effort in researching not only the number of songs contributing to Wayne’s world record, but also taking the reader through a brief history and progression of the artist.…

Many artists these days tend to sample other authors work into their songs to add a greater purpose or meaning to their music. Artists like Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar are known for sampling other artist’s music or speeches and incorporating them into their songs to enhance the message or theme that is trying to be presented. Phase one of the five cannons pertains to the invention of the speech. The invention deals with the content of the speech and how the speaker used his/her content to get the message across through inartistic proofs which are facts, statistics etc. and artistic proofs which are the logos, ethos, and pathos aspect of a claim. Throughout the song “Lose yourself,” by Eminem, he includes many personal details of his character “Rabbit” in his movie 8mile as well as information from his personal life.
