“Yes!” I wumbled (whisper/ mumbled) to thin air. I had waited in line for a least half an hour waiting to meet an author my friends, Melanie and Emma had introduced me to. Finally, there was only two people in line and one of them was me.
Still wumbling I said, “Three, two, one,” silently begging for a meeting with this author I had heard so much about. I couldn’t wait to get my book signed by Adam Gidwitz the author of A Tale Dark And Grim, In A Glass Grimmly, The Grimm Conclusion, and his newest book “So You Want To Be A Jedi?”.
At long length the girl was done talking and it was my turn! But as she walked away, I couldn’t help but hearing that her name was Zoë too! As I walked up I couldn’t help but asking “Is that girls name Zoë too?”

In “Film as Art and Psychology: Cool Hand Luke as Exemplar," Frank Barron employs a metaphorical comparison between religion and movies to claim that Cool Hand Luke is “about the Passion and Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ” (102). He substantiates his claim with in-depth mise-en- scène analysis, which does make Barron’s argument convincing, but to a certain extent. Barron highlights how Lucas Jackson’s figure movement and expressions symbolize that of Jesus Christ. For example, when he says “Luke is [seen] repeatedly stretching his arms akimbo, spread-eagled so that his body is like a cross” (102) after doing the unthinkable, eating fifty eggs. I do agree with Barron that Luke’s actions signify that of Christ; however the author focuses…

Historically, storytelling is one of the oldest forms of recorded, sequential human thought told for the purpose of entertainment to ever exist on Earth. At its core, the art of storytelling contains many elements that make up a story. Such elements include characters: imagined individuals within a story, setting: where the story sets place, and plot: the story being told chronologically. In this essay, I shall be writing about two other ingredients of literature found within the stories “Godfather Death” by The Brothers Grimm and “A&P” by John Updike, the ingredients of literature recognized as protagonist and antagonist. Primarily, I will be identifying and analyzing the protagonists and antagonists of both stories according to Kennedy’s and Gioia’s definition of the terms.…

During my research of Anakin Skywalker, I had run into some challenges getting to know him on a deeper level. I was also able to connect the storyline to new historicism, and view on how Anakin relates to coming of age. The main thing that I found to be challenging about my characters was finding the films. Growing up, my family and I never sparked an interest in the Star Wars movies, so we never watched them.…
