The five levels are physiological, safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization (Ferrell, Gatewood, Ferrell, & Taylor, 2010 pg.378). Of those five the two highest rankings in this case would have to be esteem and love. Teens need a highs level of esteem and love. Love needs are the highest. Once basic needs and security are taken care of, people look for love, friendship, and affection (Ferrell, Gatewood, Ferrell, & Taylor, 2010 pg.379).
