Nurses have the potential to improve the healthcare system by pursuing advanced education to implement quality and cost effective healthcare to the society. Nursing activities can be made useful if nurses are willing to stretch themselves by widening their scope of knowledge in various aspects including leadership in health policy, promoting health equity and seeking further education in nursing to make them better caregivers. With the rising need for nurses, obtaining an advanced education are less difficult than in the past with many options available including traditional programs (such as RN to BSN, RN to MSN, MSN to DNP, MSN to Ph.D.)
