When looking at the decision making process there are eight steps to go by when trying to improve a bad decision.
1) Recognize the problem and the need for a decision.
The issue is that AQHA removed a ruling of having lip chains legal while showing. They implemented this decision because PETA took strong disagreement against the rule. Throughout the years, especially the past three years, AQHA and PETA have been trying to come to a compromise. PETA brought their issue with the lip chain to AQHA’s attention and got the rule tabled, as well as many other show to show occurrences in the industry.
