“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same,” states Ronald Reagan. Many great gifts were given to my generation, including: freedom, religion, family, etc. No one ever thinks about how many veterans have fought for us. America gave us great gifts that allow us to be who we are and do what we do. Our freedom of religion, and our freedom to protest (as long as it’s peaceful), were two gifts America has provided us with. I feel that everyone who possesses these gifts, takes them for granted, until they lose them. To be able to have freedom to do so many things makes us so blessed, so much more than I ever imagined. People fought for our freedom, to give us everything we have, people don’t realize this until they think about it. People risked their lives so one can practice any religion they …show more content…
The people who are over seas fighting right now, are fighting so you can live. An important gift America gave us that one doesn’t really consider is their life. People are risking their lives, so you can be alive, get an education, and rise up to be amazing people. Think about the kids across the world whose lives are at risk, who are dead, who are growing up in bad positions, who could die at any minute. Think about how lucky one or one’s children are to be sitting in school learning math, reading, science, and history. Or that you have a house to live in. Kids and their parents are struggling so much to get an education or a job. Americans don’t have to do these things for education or jobs. America has given us great gifts, so one should be respectful. Be thankful for what one has and never take it for granted. One has so many people who have worked hard for them to be where they are, so all I can say is be
