The book I read is called Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, is written by Mildred D. Taylor, and takes place in Mississippi in 1933. This book is about a family that goes through rough times in a very racial period of time. They have to band together to get past those barriers and save their friend T.J. The most significant event in my story is the time that the Logan’s land was burns down. During this event, it is started when T.J. shows up at the Logan’s house and asks the kids to walk home. The kids say that the will if he tells them what happened in Strawberry. T.J. said that it will not be a good thing to do because it could harm them to, but the Logan kids insisted and T.J. agreed.
