One of the things that I would like to point out about Act 4 is Scene 1. This scene is very short, it is just one little conversation between like three people, but I think this is an important part. In this scene, Octavius and Antony are basically making a hit list, they are deciding who need to be killed, and they decide that because Publius was a part of Caesars death, he deserves to die. Publius is the brother of Lepidus, and one of the conspirators that murdered Caesar. Really, this scene is just Octavius and Antony asking Lepidus if it is okay with him that they are going to kill Publius. They say they need his consent and he gives it to them (literaturepage.com). Brutus and Cassius are allies, despite the arguments they have and things they go through and will continue to go through, they planned and committed the murder together. Therefore, whether they like it or not, they’re stuck in this together. Antony and Octavius’ fates are different from Brutus and Cassius’ in this way, Antony and Octavius are choosing to be a team to go up against the people who killed their friend, and whereas Brutus and Cassius chose to work together to kill Caesar for power, so they could rule Rome. But either way, they are partners, whether it is bad partners or good, they are still in this
