Reflective Essay: Coming Into A College Class

Coming into a college class made me nervous from the beginning because like many people I was afraid of the unknown. However, I was excited and scared about what was to come and how I would meet the challenges that I would face. At my previous school that I was attending, we wrote essays all the time so that could help prepare ourselves for writing college essays. Fast forward from my freshman year to now, my junior year, I know that I was nervous for no apparent reason. During English 111 I was able to understand more about a what a college class requires and that it is nothing like high school, which is a good thing. It is a way to take my focus off of real world problems and give myself a mental vacation from all the real-world problems that I’m still trying to decide on if I can or cannot change. By being in English 111, I have definitely gotten a few breaks from the real world. I would definitely focus on not procrastinating on my assignments and provide myself enough time to dedicate to the task but also have that extra time where I did not have to stress at the last minute knowing that I had already started the paper.
The historical stories that have studied have provided me with the knowledge of the establishment of our civilization of today. The struggles that were had back then have led the way to where we are now. Listening to the news today makes me wonder, but I still hope that what they dreamed for us then will still come true today, even when it may not seem like
