Wifmann. Wimmann. Wumman. And finally, it became woman in modern English. Woman is not just define by having and raising the children, although it is one of the key points. Terminologically, a female human is said to be in the womanhood stage when she had passed through the two (2) stages before it which are the childhood and adolescence, and generally it is after at the age of 18.
But the definition of “woman/women” does not end there. It might be a five-letter word, but its definition is more than that. Woman is not just being a mother, it is also associated with femininity which is to refer to a set of standards and qualities in connection with certain attitudes to gender roles that is based on society’s norms and …show more content…
It gives competency to people who gain knowledge, especially in the business world. And one way of obtaining knowledge is having a mentor to share the knowledge you have. Mentor is an adviser who have a high level of training attained and experience gained that can help other people with regards to their performance. Mentors will help people gain competency and understanding towards work and this will help them reach higher position on the management, especially in a male-oriented business world. The number of women looking for management position had increased drastically as the rate of women in the labor forced had increased, but on the other hand, the number of mentoring relationship available for women is not on the same pace as the demand. It had boost the motivation and ambition of these women to reach higher and build themselves towards the society. Today, women in Gulf had taken over leadership roles and position in one entity, either the entrepreneur, managers, bankers, political figures, etc.
One way of UAE in encouraging women to take part for the progress is placing women in high positions to prove that they are making steps in Political and Economic Empowerment in the UAE. Women in the UAE are key associate in leading the driving force towards continuous progress of development. Today, women hold the position of 30% of the senior jobs related to decision-making process, 10% of the jobs in the diplomatic corps, 7 seats on the Federal national Council, having 17.5% of the total number of seats.
On the 9th of December 2014, the UAE Cabinet approved that women membership on the board of trustees of all government authorities, institutions and companies is a
