The other day, my friend, who is a Life Coach, and I were talking about "wealth", what it means to us and how we can attract more "wealth" into our lives.

What Is Wealth?

During my training as a Yoga Teacher, our teachers taught us that "Health is Wealth".

Prior to this, I always associated wealth as monetary wealth, i.e, money in the bank, how much I earned or owed in debts. Back then I was in debt and felt very unhealthy, poor and broke. I was always looking for ways to attract more wealth, in the form of money.

Armed with my new understanding, I now fully appreciate that health is wealth. Without good health, you are not able to do most of the projects you wish to do or care for your family. Have you ever suffered from back pain or tooth

3 Meditations Techniques To Attract Wealth

Practice any one of these simple meditations. They will help to calm and uplift your energy especially if your health, whether physical, emotional or spiritual health is poor.

1. Sit quietly for a few minutes. Close your eyes and turn your attention to all the sounds you can hear. Stay tuned to the different sounds and then gradually turn your attention to your breath. Breath in for a count of four and out for a count of four, through your nose. Repeat 5 - 10 times then slowly open your eyes and re-engage with your day.

2. Every time you receive money, be it a gift or salary, take a moments rest, pause and Give Thanks for the money. Recognise the sacredness of the moment and ask for more abundance, good health and financial

My economics teacher once told me a revised version of an old cliche. “Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it can provide security, which can help protect your happiness.” This is true, to a large extent. Happiness in life stems from one’s relationships with people and experiences, something that wealth will not provide. That said, having enough in the bank to not have to worry and stress about paying bills and basic expenses will go a long way in terms of reducing anxiety and allowing time to find a true source of happiness.…

Contrary to the popular belief that money can’t buy happiness, money does in fact contribute to happiness. First, researchers have found that wealthier nations reported overall higher life satisfaction than poorer nations. Psychologists Ed Diener and Robert Biswas-Diener present evidence showing that “the correlation between income and happiness is .82,” revealing that the two are obviously linked (163). When we started this project, we were asked to think about something that has been on our minds recently. One of the things I wrote down was “It’s a struggle to stay zen.” Out of everything I wrote, I felt that this was what most totally encompassed everything I was dealing with. I realized that the way I understood zen, yoga and meditation was a lot different than how most people around here understand it. Being raised by a Buddhist mother, these ideologies are, whether consciously or not, ingrained into how I think.…
