As stated by Jacobs (1961), diversity in a society consider people with different conditions that could gather and connect with each and everyone. Jacobs clarifies that it is significant to establish diversity in order to maintain a harmony community. First, a highly car-dependant urban form has segregated people who beyond driving ability. During the fieldwork, it could be observed that there is a small business area in walking distance from the main residential area. Basic needs for daily life such as supermarket and restaurants are detached from the residential area. In regards, local services are only reachable by car. Tachieva (2010) and Dodson (2007) stated, people who lack driving skill are deserted and segregated in a community with driving oriented network. In the view of the fact that disabled, children and elderly are not able to drive without driving licence and driving ability, nor to walk for a long distance, likely to have difficulty in accessing certain areas, which create a sense of isolation from the …show more content…
Lack of accessibility and exclusion of various groups of society, left consequences of public health and social connection issue. Planner should review city in terms of urban design and physical facilities for the purpose of extenuating the issue.
