Importance Of Voting Speech
A. Attention Getter: (IMAGINE) You’re in class and your professor is telling everyone about the importance of politics. While your professor is talking, you realize you haven’t paid much attention to what’s going on in the world, until you hear about the ideas of the candidates who are running. All of the sudden, you become interested and you want to vote.
B. Background and Audience Relevance: Lucky for you, elections are coming up. People who are eligible to vote can register in time for this year’s election.
C. Speaker Credibility: I recently (today) registered to vote. It was this assignment that encouraged me to learn more about voting since it is an important topic that I knew little to nothing about.
