Time management has been one of the greatest hurdles of my scholastic career in high school. Procrastination was the name of the game for me for a while. Needless to say, I had poor time management skills. I would often wonder why I would let myself do this almost every time I had to do something. I didn’t like the trend I was in and I needed another way to get things done. Then after coming to university and observing the reality here, I realized that being a procrastinator only hindered my potential of becoming the student I knew I could be. Fresh years university life can change a person’s characteristic very much. In the last two months, I have gained lots in different aspects from Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). I perceived Symptoms through observing my university actions. Which led me to look into these problems, were my grades achievements. Generally, I was scuffling with attendance, poor punctuality and my personal complaints on subject matters. I acted so negative on my own non-verbal expressions such as showing less interest and concentration towards lectures. My fundamental problems were sleepiness and negative attitude towards essential lectures. So with little more disciplines, I realized and self-motivated to be able to do my work to the best of my ability. Those helped me to maximize the use of my time and reach my ultimate educational goals. Keeping an accurate schedule facilitates the use of my time. I make a list of what I have to accomplish during the coming week, including class assignments and class participation. Being inclusive in my list of schoolwork is essential for making my schedule work. I write out a daily schedule at the beginning of each day. As I compose my daily schedule, I assess my priorities and use the A, B, C system to formulate my tasks. A’s always stand for tasks that urging to be done in a day. B‘s follows tasks less indispensible than A’s. C’s stand for nonobligatory tasks. I strive and try to accomplish all my A tasks before I forge ahead to the B tasks. Methinks this is an outstanding blueprint for time management and maximizing the use of my time. I have learnt the precious and essential time management skills with the help of university well organized time management classes. Diversely from majority participants, I have comprehended the knowledge and I was familiar with how to access the learnt skills in to my college life.
