The first is praying; its followers are required to pray five times daily. They begin with ritual washing before praying. As long as Muslims are facing Mecca, Islam’s holiest site when they pray, then they can pray anywhere they like. The second is clothing; dressing modestly at all times is to discourage showing off one’s body and to minimize sexual temptations. An often attractive and very feminine trait of women is their hair that is why they use a scarf to cover their head. Men are to wear a head covering called a kufi and dress modestly in loose fitting clothes. The third is prohibition; engaging in sexual relations outside of marriage shows disrespect to the sanctity of marriage and alcohol, drugs can cloud judgement and remove inhibitions.
