I have taken the MBTI test before twice actually but with varying results and they did not come with the preference clarity index therefore I was confused as to why my results came back different. My four preferences in the MBTI where ISTJ with the first preference being a moderate level of 13 for Introversion which does not come as a surprise me or anyone who knows me. I would consider myself on the more extreme end of introversion simply because I prefer living by myself and vacationing to places where there are less people than where I am coming from. Furthermore I dislike large get-togethers and instead prefer hanging out with my friends. Lately I have been …show more content…
I do find it moderately frustrating when I can’t plan something but that is where the judging side of me ends. What I mean by that is when it comes to organization I am definitely not very orderly For certain things I feel the need to keep them organized and ordered properly like the home screen on my phone all the icons have their specific places but when it comes to organizing my desk it seems that chaos takes over and organizes it for me. The amounts of different careers and subsequently majors that I could choose from is quite extensive and Business and engineering type jobs seem to be the most prominent along with law enforcement, aviation and archeologist/curator. I have always had this love for math, science, and problem solving and I thought that forensic science could be what I wanted to do with my life. After touring a crime lab in Carlisle, I realized that, even though some aspects of the job were fascinating, forensic science was not what I wanted to pursue. I was back at square one, not knowing what I wanted to do, until my Dad suggested that I look into the different concentrations of engineering. As I was going through the concentrations that Messiah offered, biomedical engineering caught my eye. Not only did it mix problem solving, math, and science, but this was a major where I could help people have a better life.…

Self-report is the dominant method of assessment in personality research. Respondents are asked questions about how they think, feel, and behave, and their answers are assumed to be accurate and predictive of behaviors associated with those traits. These reports essentially rely on the ability of respondents to accurately remember and report on the cause and/or effect of momentary thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Thinking heuristics provide insight on the behaviors that participants may be more likely to report.
