I deserve ten extra points, because I put enough effort and it will give me the necessary push of morale to help me on my path to success.

I do understand that you are not supposed to curve grades,but bending the rules can be for the better. If you were driving and a kid appears in front of your car are you going to break the rules and go to the opposite lane? Ten extra points is more than enough for us to get the grade we want, and for us to do better throughout the year. It can help avoid discouragement among myself so I can focus on future assignments;

    Has anyone thought of school and been like “Hmm, professors might give them a better grade if they complain to her about how they feel they did a better job at that assignment?” Or how about, “Wow there is so much free time from studying that they should just all go get drunk?” Says no student ever. Upon reading the grading polices for this class I understand the guidelines and expectations as follows: I understand that the instructor, Mr. Fanning does not round grades upward, therefore I will strive to achieve the highest grade possible on my assignments, so that this policy will not hurt my overall grade. I understand that Mr. Fanning, does not create extra credit assignments, that being said, I will not ask Mr. Fanning for extra credit, and I will ensure that there will be no need to ask him, as my grade will be high enough to the point where extra credit is unnecessary. I understand that the due dates for assignments are final, and that work turned in late will not be accepted by Mr. Fanning. Because of this policy I will ensure that I turn in my assignments early, and not wait until the deadline to actually turn the…

    Have you ever gotten a low grade on an assignment for which you did all the requirements? That's what I'm against. I think that doing the minimum required by teachers should at least get an A-. First, students could get stressed and frustrated at teachers if they take points off for their work when they did do the minimum work required. Students might worry about their other ungraded assignments that they’ve already completed and doubt that they did a good job.…

    has your teacher ever asked you how you wanted to be graded? I know it's a illogical question but think about it, most teacher don't care and I found a better way that few teacher ever use. The teachers need to grade us based on our knowledge and the things that we have learned threw out the year not what the school expects us to know. I know most people like the traditional ways but I think it's time to give the new way a chance and if they don't work we can go back to the ole ways.…

    He asserts, “Let me make it clear that I recommend giving those F’s – by the dozens, hundreds, thousands, even millions – only to students who haven’t learned the required material” (192). However giving more F’s to the students does not prove that they deserve the grade. An F should be given to the students that deserves it, such as students that do not do their homework, do not show up to class, or cheat on test/homework. If a student does things that show that they deserve the F, then it should be given. In a recent discussion with parent LaToya Jackson, a mother of two, she discussed that although the educational system has a few flaws, she feel that giving more F’s to students would not solve the problems throughout the educational system.…
