There are different monitors and machines for the professionals to use and all of the mechanisms have different purposes. For instance, the medical field has computers for record storage and an MRI machine to scan patients. “Patient participation in health care is associated with improved outcomes for patients and hospitals. New technologies are creating vast potential for patients to participate in care at the bedside. Several studies have explored patient use, satisfaction and perceptions of health information technology (HIT) interventions in hospital” (Roberts, S., Chaboyer, W., Gonzalez, R., & Marshall, A., 2017). This is one way that technology may be used in the future. This use of technology would be very effective for patients, especially those who are bedridden. Simple things that they can do while staying in bed would be very important for their recovery. Little tasks and activities such as playing games and apps on an ipad, or watching educational videos. This works in the same way as it would a baby. If a patient goes through a significant trauma and they need rehabilitation simple exercises that will improve their motor and brain skills would be highly effective. On the other hand, since the world is going very virtual, very quickly many people are already accustomed to using smartphones, tablets, and computers daily. Future generations will be even more accustomed to using technology. It is very handy to have the internet and a notepad right at your fingertips. With this, people would not have to carry around notes, notepads, and pens and pencils. People using the devices can make phone calls and text fellow co-workers if they need something rather than having to track them down. Consequently, hand-held communication devices can include misuse of the devices. People may just surf the web or text whomever rather than doing their job.
