Going through school math always came easily. It was simple; black and white. It was really the one class I could sit through, enjoy myself, and understand nearly every concept that came my way. It was my safe place in school. I never really did badly in any other subject though, it was just my passion was derived from numbers and experiments, not dates and interpretations. Summet would help me continue to not only explore in a field I am interested in, but it would help me to further develop a skill set I’ve always been so passionate about. A major disadvantage that I’m facing right now is picking what type of engineering I want to go to into. Whether it be civil, or structural, or aerospace, the options are endless, but my mind hasn’t grasped wrapping itself around a specific area yet. I think exploring science and math through the program could give me a much better understanding on my strengths weaknesses and essentially maybe lead me one step closer to narrowing down my field of interest. On top of that I think it would be nice to go through a program in a college setting that would point out my weaknesses. Sometimes I think I get too content in the high school classroom setting, where I’ve never really struggled in math or science classes that I become too accustomed to essentially slacking off and still getting good grades. I want to be challenged. I want to learn what there is to learn regardless of the steps, or difficulties that come with the journey; I want to experience the knowledge, the challenges, and the benefits that all come with the
