My Struggle For Self Analysis

Improved Essays
As the years go by, from the time a human comes out their mother’s womb to present time there will always be struggles one will encounter. However, a struggle shouldn’t be the cause for one to crawl into a shell to the nearest corner, nor go crawling for mommy’s help. In such way that what people don’t acknowledge is that in life in order to be successful or make a change for yourself you need to stop being afraid and want to have a challenge because in the end whatever you accomplish on your own is only going to benefit your future and how you vison it to be.
When I was a teen I was so dependable on my parents that I never realized how the food on my plate, shoes, clothing, bed, or the roof above me was provided to me by both of my parents

To me getting a job simply represented getting money in return for the time spent somewhere other than home laying in bed. My first job started like a fairytale, simple but as in the fairy tail there 's always struggles that come within to learn from what you’re doing, and what I realized was that i had bigger and brighter goals I wanted to accomplish and give my parents and friends a set example that demonstrates struggles in life especially financially can be overcome by simply standing up to them and taking that challenge that most of human beings relate to it as an instinct to cringe away just because they aren’t accustomed to work for their own responsibilities. Then everything began to get complicated day by …show more content…
Recognizing my parents daily struggle made me own up to the reality of growing up and becoming independent step by step on my own. Just like how one starts to walk, we crawl before we walk, and realizing that sacrificing time i could 've spent bonding with friends wasn 't really necessary toward my future reference since my “friends” aren 't the ones paying for my necessities nor struggling what i struggle with every day is my crawl. Now, how i managed to save money, learn little help full tips by my coworkers , and managing to pay off school is my walk. In order to leave the world shocked from my success i have to continue to believe and focus on what makes me mature day by day and that is never giving up when an obstacle comes along. I had to figure out a way to overcome any given problem because if i would 've let that problem intimidate me, I would’ve let that show my weak point of what i am not okay with demonstrating it. A life with no type of encouragement has no type of future refrence to become a mature human being one claims to want to achieve as the time goes, but what people don 't realize is that they 're running out of time and need to make a change fast before they are stuck being 30 still living underneath their parents home

From a young age, like the author, high expectations have been placed upon me, and vigorous measures were taken by my parents to ensure that the best education was available to me. Because I was expected to be a high functioning student, the vision my parents had of me allowed them to shape me into what they had envisioned. But, like the author's situation, the doors for success were opened for me, yet I had to be the one to walk through those doors. There comes a point where age and independence takes over my mind as I was less privy to the words of my parents. During this time, personal accountability is now the driving factor of success.…

I interviewed my grandfather Charles Rutherford who lives down the road from me. We discussed a few different topics such as what his life was like being a kid, what he thought of school, and how he knew my grandmother was the one for him. It sometimes got off tracks talking about his children and what happened to them, but for most of the time we stayed on topic. We talked a lot about what life was like and his jobs and his life overall. This interview started about his life in Tennessee and it wasn't easy for him back then, he had to walk miles to school and his dad wasn't around very often.…

Michael Jordan once said, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” Being born to two immigrants, who have never completed college, and growing up in a low-income family of six individuals, I have faced nothing but a myriad of obstacles in my life. Although at times I have struggled to overcome these challenges, I have always persevered and pushed past each one with my determination to be the best I can be, which has matured me into the young adult I am today.…

Tears of joy streaming down my aunt's face, being squeezed by relatives for group pictures, tropical heat causing sweat to form in the small of my back; Regardless of how uncomfortable it is to step out of my comfort zone, my family's annual trips to Cuba are something I've always looked forward to. In the year of 1999, I was born in Cabaiguán, Cuba. If it had been up to my mother, I would have been born in the United States. Immigration laws required us to stay for at least six months after my birth before coming to America. Despite us moving to the United States, my parents always made sure I didn't forget where I came from.…

Growing up as the middle child in a lower income family was, at best, difficult. Abusive parents, rampant drug use, and less than caring family members left me in a precarious position as a child. Was this how every family interacted? Is this what I was to become? Growing up I was always told that I would never amount to anything and given little chance to succeed.…

As I looked across the room and saw the tears streaming down my mom’s face it I couldn’t help but choke up.…

Growing up with many obstacles have been difficult for me as it has been for my parents. Both my parents have immigrated to the U.S. at early ages to pick crops. Both of them, ironically, come from big families. Growing up, it has been difficult learning English as a second language because my parents were only Mixteco and Spanish speakers. As I got older I taught myself and tried extremely hard in school not to be a burden to my parents who were always worrying.…

From a young age I can remember always wanting to help others understand. Understand me and understand the life that was happening around them. As a result I have always been able to tell more than what is in front of me. I am good at reading people and getting to know them well, because my relationship building had always been so accelerated.…

Challenges are what makes life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. “A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.” As I stepped out the door, slowly and resentfully I walked down the staircase, then suddenly turned to look at the house which I grew up in. A part of me was agitated to see the new place I was going to to further my education and another part was discouraged to leave my friends, an intimate surrounding and most importantly, remembering that I was going to be away from my family when I have settled after a month. My family has always been an important part of my life.…
