Importance Of Stewardship

With Stewardship it is essential that you respect where you came from and what you are given. It is important to not take too much and to be thankful for what you have. It is also very important to be cognizant of your surroundings and how you impact the world. You might be one person, but the way you act and the practices you follow impact the environment around you. A big part of this is respecting the earth we live on and our natural resources. As a fitness instructor this is integrated into my daily life, as it should be. I teach students of all different races, genders, age groups, and classes. It is so important to have a high level of emotional intelligence when it comes to this. As the instructor I need to make sure that everyone feels involved and that means that I cannot single out one person or a group of similar persons. I need to instruct in a uniform way that makes everyone feel involved. For example, there are students that are at different fitness levels, some of them can do high impact, like hopping, skips and jumps, where others cannot have both feet off of the ground. I think that it is time to reinvent the wheel. It is time to be more innovative when it comes to sustainable development. There have been developments, like solar panels, but it is not just about developing the technology, it is about implementing and getting the technology out to the masses. I think I have seen one house so far that is using solar panels and I haven 't come across any businesses that are. I think that if more people utilized this development we could seriously impact sustainability. That is why I think that most meaningful goal is technology. I think an opportunity for Appreciative Inquiry when it comes to community development is looking at the things that the community does well, instead of just focusing on the negatives. That is definitely something that I could work on. It is so easy to nitpick and focus on the things that you think aren 't right. It is hard to appreciate, or recognize, the things the community is already doing. I think that if I look at neighboring communities it really helps me appreciate the community I live in and what it has to
