Sociological Factors In My Life

Before I took this class I would’ve described my life as minimally affected by any sociological factors, however now after going through weeks of theories and ideas it’s hard to think of events in my life that haven’t occurred due to some type of sociological factor. Going back through major stages of my life the biggest sociological factors that have influenced me are social class, family, ethnicity, and social ties. Without realizing it these factors have affected just about everything I do, the decisions I take, the things I think, and sociological factors like these can even have some type of toll on my future. Social class to me is the sociological factor that grows in importance as you grow in age. They are also very dependent on each other, for example my family is very hardworking and determined which results in them having great jobs which then boosts their social class, and then you form social ties with people that have a similar social class to you which means you might act different or think different in some cases. Another huge detail I caught from going back and analyzing these factors that played into my life was that each and everyone of them have the power to be great or to be terrible, fro example, your ethnicity might have put you ahead of the game in a situation or it may have caused you huge pain in a different situation. In conclusion this paper proved that my life has indeed been affected and altered by these social factors; they’ve made me who I am, and everyday that I make an important decision or take a new action the cause of this will always be able to be traced back to some type of sociological
