The different experiences we live, the impact of our surroundings in our lives, the constant evolution of the world, the lessons from our forebears and the diversity we perceive in our daily activities influence the way we see the world so our values. Indeed, in comparison to morals which is defined as motivation based on right and wrong and ethics1 defined as the rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession2, values are beliefs helping us to determine how to live our lives, what your goals, ambitions and convictions are and where is the adequate environment for our self-fulfillment. Values are, also, guidelines giving reasons to our different choices by explaining why a certain item had to be picked instead of another or a person left over from our comfort zone. Furthermore, values are considered as indicators of our expectations, hopes, happiness, pride and self-satisfaction.

Indeed, socio-cultural values are the different beliefs and customs found in a certain region and which are meant to be respected by the people from this given area.
