Getting over my fears of writing is something I need to do if I want to become a better writer. I’m always afraid of what people think of my writing, and I need to just accept that some people might like it and others may not. As I stated earlier in this paper I tend to get distracted quite easily, which has happened numerous times already when writing this. After I get distracted I lose my train of thought and forget what I was writing about, which leads to problems with my essay. Handwriting my essays before I type them out can really help me focus more, I don’t have a bunch of things on my computer to keep me distracted.…

In addition, when I had to do presentations for my department, I used to panic and have anxiety although I have a well-written speech. Going off of that, another big weakness for me is spending a lot of time on one task. One of the reasons to that for instance; I have to go read the whole paragraph whenever I finish a part as I tend to lose my focus, which actually wastes a lot of my time. Similarly, I am a slow reader and so it takes me a lot of time to go over my long readings. However, recently, I learned how to skim long readings and get the core elements from it which saves a lot of my time for other tasks.…

I have learned how to work hard and I could study for hours on end now, however I don’t think that would be healthy physically or mentally, and definitely not socially. I want to learn how to study in a way that I can get things to stick inside my head more quickly and in a way that I will know how I can apply what I learned to my life. in short I want to learn how to learn better! Lastly one of my biggest weaknesses has been my confidence in myself and in the work that I do. I have always been quiet in class and have not participated near as much as I should have just because of my lack of confidence in myself and in my work.…

Multitasking has negative consequences: bad social life, lack of sleep, and tight timetable. A lot of the things i do in life are to improve the way me and my family live. I study, work, and make choices just to have a better social life.
