Imagine yourself getting into a car, using your voice to turn it on, and telling it the place you want to go, and as you kick back and relax, and surf the web, your car starts driving itself, navigating through the traffic as you surf the web and have talks with your family without any fear of accidents and within no time, you have reached your destination. This once seemed to be a thought of far future, a part of science fiction. But with advancements in technology, this thought of future may be closer than we think.
Self-driving cars are designed to take us wherever we want when we want, at the push of a button, no driving required. Aging or visually impaired people wouldn’t have to rely on other people to drive them around. They can go wherever they want to and whenever they want to. The time wasted in travelling can be better spent in completing our work as we travel around.

Google’s vehicles have traversed though through the city of San Francisco, which is famous for its sharp turns and heavy traffic. The system uses speed limits it has stored on its maps and maintains its distance from the other vehicles by means of sensors controlling speed and breaking. These Systems also provide an override that allows the driver of the car to take control over the vehicle by stepping on the break or turning the steering, which is similar to the cruise control systems that are found in various cars
