There is numerus amount of ways and different processes of following in the selection and recruitment. People often confuse the difference between selections and recruitment. The differences are categorized from meaning, objectives, process, hurdles, approach, and sequence, economy and time consumption. The recruitment meaning is the activity of establishing contact between employers and applicants, whereas the meaning of selection is the process of picking up more competent and suitable employees.
The objective of recruitment is encouraging large numbers of candidates for a job, whereas, the objective of selection is attempting to reject unsustainable candidates. The process of recruitment is a simple process, whereas, the selection process is complicated. The hurdles of recruitment is that candidates not to cross so many hurdles, whereas, in the selection many hurdles have to be crossed.
