Students should not have to wear uniforms at school because students do not want to have to wear the same thing as other students or look alike. Kids like to be themselves and express the things they like or like to do. I think that the students at Preston High would not even like to wear uniforms because a lot of the kids like to wear what they want and show who they are and what they like to wear. Yes, some people say that school uniforms can be better so that you don’t have to worry about students wearing inappropriate clothing to school, but wearing the uniforms doesn’t allow the students to show …show more content…

I mean it is better to see who someone really is instead of trying to make them hide it and then they are just unhappy. The students should not have to wear uniforms either because if they did then I believe the teacher would have to wear similar outfits too. No parent would want to spend money on buying their child something they wouldn’t want to wear. Kids would not want to wear uniforms to school because it is not something they picked out for themselves. There is also no way that Preston High School would want to pay tons of money for each student to wear uniforms to school. They also don’t even have the money to do that and wouldn’t have enough because kids would need to have different options. They might like to complain about what some kids wear to school, but they aren’t the ones buying their clothing so it shouldn’t be a big deal. The cost of school uniforms are just too much for parents and the school to pay for. For a male or female student to have a uniform for each day of the week and different choice on what to wear would cost a great deal of money. Yes, parents may spend lots of money on your clothes now, but at least it is something you like and actually want to wear. Parents buying school uniforms would be a waste of their money because it isn’t something you actually want to wear it would be something they would be forcing you to wear which makes you not want to wear it more. You would most likely have to buy new uniforms each year because you could grow from last year or they could change the color or just do something different about it. The school would basically just be making you buy something you would wear for a year or maybe

School uniforms cannot improve one’s behavior or academic achievement; schools should be spending time focusing on more important ideals. They take away a student’s individuality and they show no consistent improvement with student behavior or academic achievement. More effort should be put towards the children’s wellbeing, not what a child wears to school.…
