There are many different ways of writing, and Rhetorical analysis is one of the most helpful ways, which includes the introduction, rhetorical situation, rhetorical strategies, rhetorical appeals and the conclusion. I believe the rhetorical analysis is helpful for us because it makes us understand how the authors use this way to construct and develop a professional document to reach their writing purpose. I can learn the genre of writing in the field of accounting through writing this rhetorical analysis. I am going to analyze the article which is called “Post-Public Accounting Careers” by Alexander L. Gabbin and Espey T. Browning; it is a published in August 2016, CPA Journal. Those authors used many different rhetorical appeals and rhetorical …show more content…
Besides, the intended audiences are public accounting careers and like our students who are accounting majors. Therefore, it can help students to consider whether or not they should consider to be accounting faculty.
Purpose
The author’s purpose is to focus on the process of retired CPA with being an accountant and explaining the method to test whether or not they are qualified to be an accounting professor. The two authors would like to introduce the major differences between accountants and accounting major professor, and how to determine whether it is possible to become a qualified professional teacher, and how to prepare to become an accountant.
Context
This document would be used in a CPA journal related to the voice of the profession, in-depth magazine articles published daily. The article's main point is to explain how retiring CPAs can become college instructors.
Style/Tone

According to our Course Reader, it showed that description can provide the significant details to explain some ideas so let the writing skill become more strong (p.23). In the article which is “Post-Public Accounting Careers,” the authors use description to illuminate some statements to provide a clear understanding of the content. This is a professional article in a specific major area, so it's difficult to understand completely by people who are not in this area without the description. For instance, the author explains that CPA practitioner is critical professional qualified faculty for the university. The article showed that CPA practitioners have real-world experience and credibility as members of the teacher. Another that reason CPA practitioners as faculty can become heartening role model to encourage students to encourage students considering being accountants. As an accounting major student, we all know that CPA test is hard to pass. I think the reader can understand why the professionally qualified faculty of CPA is significant for students by this particular description. One more example of description is AACSB Bridge Program. I think for some readers, they don't have the clear understanding about this program and what it refers to. Gabbin and Browning describe it as “Five-day program are designed to help professionals with practical experience transition into a teaching role" (Gabbin & Browning, 2016). I
