In my Catholic education, we are taught: “Treat one another as you want to be treated,” otherwise known as “The Golden Rule”. I would like to be treated with respect, therefore, I treat my fellow classmates with respect. What is respect? Respect to me is how you treat and feel about a person. If you respect a person you care about that person’s feelings and well-being or you accept a person for who they are and how they act. Why should I respect my classmates? I respect my classmates because I know how much words and actions hurt. You never know what a person is going through at the time. Especially during adolescence teens have many insecurities.
